The correct answer would be option D: "That even the most rational-minded must admit to the power of the Native American imagination". In the excerpt, the author says that reason shall bow to shadows, which can be interpreted as imagination, therefore, imagination is more powerful than reason. Option A and B are incorrect because reason cannot be a shadow and it may seem as the enemy but that is not the point the author is trying to make. Option C is also incorrect because it does not say shadow's bow before reason.
