In a final draft, your teachers are looking for correct grammar, punctuation, and some
complex vocabulary. If you can do this, you can even wow an English major. Always have a parent/guardian or a friend help you with this. Review with your instructor before you ask anyone for help. When you cite your work, for example, it has to be in MLA citation format.here is an example for a book: Last Name, First Name. Book title. Publishing city. Publisher. Copyright year. Always underline or italicize your book title. Citations will differ if they are not an example like this book citation. You can use a citation website that helps you with formats from websites, interviews, books, and movie. This is a friendly, safe website called EasyBib. Lastly, on reflections, it depends if it’s on a researched essay, book report, or any other assignment. But, when your rubric or instructor asks you to reflect with questions, make sure that they have full sentences. Do not make them brief. If you are having trouble with this, go and ask your teacher. Your questions should be eligible to understand for someone to answer. Even if you think you have no questions, try and review over your essay and subject once again. Best of luck!

Pathos is a literary device that is used to garner emotions of pity, sorrow, anger, or other passionate feelings to the point where readers/listeners/audience members are persuaded into acting or thinking in a way the author/speaker wishes. Thus, it is a persuasive literary device. That said, let’s look at a few phrases from the excerpt that employ pathos by manner of describing scenes of injustice and cruelty:

“He has plundered our seas…destroyed the lives of our people.”

“…to complete the works of death, desolation, and tyranny...”

“…scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages…”

From these lines alone, it can be seen how readers might be compelled to view the one being described in the light the author does because the emotions that might be invoked by descriptions provided.

Mrs. J. B. Webb's book "The Pilgrims of New England" contains a quote from the preface. This book most likely contains snippets from primary source materials, based on the introduction.

What does the book include as per the introduction?

According to the preface, the author begins by stating that the major events of the episodes are "strictly historical" and derived from "genuine sources," indicating that the book would most likely contain excerpts from primary source materials.

Primary sources or sources who have firsthand experience are authentic sources. As a result, "excerpts from primary source documents" is the correct answer.
