C.Your enemy’s servants and your servants were fighting before I showed up.

In this quote, Benvolio is talking to Lord and Lady Montague. The word adversary means enemy or the person against another. In this case, the Motague's adversaries, or enemies, are the Capulet's. He is saying that the Montague's enemies and servants were fighting. The word "ere" is short for before. It allows Shakespeare to have the correct number of syllables to keep the iambic pentameter since ere only has 1 syllable, but before has 2 syllables.

Mrs. Louis could ask Mr.Hollembeak for <em>further details about his findings and report.</em>

The discussion <em>aims to get the thruth</em> about a possible leak of information by not properly encrypted files. Mr. Hollembeak defends himself stating that concerning his knowledge and responsabilities he is innocent of any negligence for his department's security protocol was up to date.

If Mrs. Louis wants to be an effective participant in the discussion she could ask Mr.Hollembeak further details about his findings and report in order to discover any contradictions in his statement and then feel free to move to another topic.

Pick out the transitive and intransitive verbs in the following sentences.
patriot [66]

A transitive verb is a type of verb which needs an object in order to perform an action. Example: <u>"Cynthia bought a bag from Elizabeth".</u> Here, "Elizabeth" is the object.

An intransitive verb is a type of verb which has no receiver of action in the sentence. In other words, it does not have a direct object.

Example include: "The dog ran over the hill"

An object of a sentence is the receiver of action in that sentence.

Therefore, the transitive verbs are:

  1. Alex teaches us English
  2. The fox jumped into the well

Likewise, the transitive verbs are:

  1. Allah loves us all.
  2. We get up early in the morning.
  3. Ice floats on water.
