Explain why you agree or disagree with the statement "Lies can stand up against much in the world, but not against art"

Lies, if told by a “professional” liar can be so convincing that many may not wish to question it, therefore lies are seen to make up the basis of the world as many people tend to lie to survive and so do many agencies such as government ect. However within art work it is much harder to lie as art work is usually the truth in visual form, for example the Mona Lisa, the truth behind that is the beauty of the woman in the year it was created, we as a total new era may disagree with the beauty of the Mona Lisa however the truth is that I’m that time we can see she was considered beautiful and was the statement of beautiful. Art work shows truths subject to the time period or the particular artist who created it.

What is the “ideal” society portrayed in Harrison Bergeron
lianna [129]
In "Harrison Bergerson", Vonnegut suggests that total equality is not an ideal worth striving for, as many people believe, but a mistaken goal that is dangerous for in both execution and outcome. To achieve physical and mental equality among all Americans, the government in Vonnegut's story tortures its citizens.

That's just a little sum up of it to get you started
