Why does Christopher Colliner think New Englanders should be proud of the town hall meeting form of goverment
Pachacha [2.7K]

Christopher Collier thinks New Englanders should be proud of the town hall meeting form of government because it is the clearest example of direct democracy.

Collier was an American author and historian, who believed town hall meetings were the most democratic form of government because it allowed people to express their opinions and beliefs freely. Moreover, it's the closest form of government to the people and many participate in it.

He also believed that people should appreciate and be proud of it because these meetings gave people real power to decide what they wanted, instead of being uninvolved.
