INTERNAL CONFLICTS emerge as a result of having opposing psychological beliefs, feelings, or desires. Internal conflicts relate to the decisions the character is trying to make. They can be moral, religious, sexual, or existential conflicts among others.
In Hamlet, the famous expression 'TO BE OR NOT TO BE' is a typical example of internal conflict.
