Rectangle A has a length of 24 meters and a width of 20 meters. Rectangle B has the same area as Rectangle A. The width of Recta
evablogger [386]
To find the area of a rectangle the formula is length times width

rectangle A = l x w
= 24 x 20
= 480
480 is the area of rectangle A

rectangle B's width is 12 meters less than rectangle A
since the width of rectangle A is 20 you take 20 and subtract 12

20 - 12 = 8

the width of rectangle B is 8

now since the question said that rectangle A and B both have the same area you put 480 into the formula

and since we now have the width of rectangle B we can figure out the length

Area = l x w

480 = length x 8

480 divided by 8 is 60

60 is rectangle B's length

so the answer is b)

1. Context clues are words or phrases that help signal the meaning of a word that you do not know. Context clues are useful to me since they help me find the definition of unknown words easily without having to find a dictionary.

2.Connotation is when a part of a text, or even a single word, implies (makes something understood without expressing it directly) a value or meaning beyond the literal.These connotations indirectly give us impressions about characters or objects. Connotations allow the reader to come up with their own impressions through personal context. Connotations can reveal aspects of the composer and the composer's context.
