Answer:

D. Adoring.

Explanation:

"Litany" by Billy Collins is a love poem. However, the tone of the poem is ambiguous yet out of these options it can be referred to as adoring to it. The poem displays the theme of admiration for his beloved. The poem has an obsessive usage of metaphors and repetitive chain of statements to praise his beloved and flatter. 'Litany' is a very light-hearted poem thus, it can not be grave. It has a reference to Belgian poet and Jacques Crickillon and Shakespeare's sonnet 130 to deliver his profound message of humanity and love more effectively. So, it can not be silly. And it is not honest as there are numerous comparisons to natural and worldly objects ("you are the bread and knife, crystal goblet and wine", "I am the moon") and exaggerations ("you are the dew on my morning grass" to describe his beloved and himself. Thus, it could be best regarded as an adoring poem.

3. Meeting and talking to Cherry was
skelet666 [1.2K]

answer:

Ponyboy really likes Cherry, and she too likes Ponyboy, and finds him a nice unexpected friend. Cherry tells Ponyboy she liked him from the start because of the way he talked and because he is a nice kid, which is a rarity, and she wanted to help him and the other greasers. Ponyboy asks her if she could see the sunset well from the West Side, and she confirms this as true.

Cherry and Ponyboy are essentially "soul-mates" throughout the novel. Although the two characters never become romantically involved, Ponyboy and Cherry share a close understanding of one another and see eye-to-eye on numerous topics.

explanation:

i remember reading the outsiders in 8th grade

btw the movie is so so different then the book

context:

Ponyboy his friends, Dally and Johnny meet Cherry and Marcia, a pair of Soc girls, at a drive-in movie theater. Ponyboy starts talking with Cherry, "emotionally connecting with a Soc for the first time in his life."

Ponyboy, Johnny, and Two-Bit walk Cherry and Marcia home, and they are stopped by Cherry's boyfriend Bob who badly beat up Johnny a few months back. Cherry prevents a fight happening by willingly leaving with Bob...

then yk Ponyboy gets beat up cause Dally hit him and he ran away in the middle of the night...

Cherry out of guilt acts as a spy for the greasers...

"Ponyboy visits Johnny at the hospital, where he is in critical condition. On their way home, Pony spots Cherry and they talk. Cherry says she is unwilling to visit Johnny in the hospital because he killed her boyfriend. Pony calls her a traitor, but after she explains herself they end on good terms. "

Why is fake news somewhat different from a conspiracy theory?
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

fake news is somewhat different from a conspiracy theory because its just fake and there's no reasoning to backup the news that's being put out. However conspiracy theories are an attempt to explain things that have already been substantiated by data or evidence given out.

finlep [7]

I believe the correct answer is raisonneur.

These lines from “The R-a-p-e of the Lock: written by Alexander Pope which represent Clarissa's long speech in which she tries to calm the outraged Belinda, cast her in the role of raisonneur, a character that acts as the voice of the author for she advocates the idea that the beauty is temporary and what’s important is the heart and soul of a person.
