Answer:Industrialization changes the pattern of foreign trade in the country. It increases the export of manufactured goods, which are more profitable in foreign exchange. But at the same time, processing the raw material at home curtails the import of goods, thereby helping to conserve foreign exchange.

It was justified because he did what anyone else with the opportunity would do. His businesses practices were creating monopolies and trusts but what he was doing wasn't illegal up to a certain point in time when the courts decided to intervene. They all did it and they all became immeasurably wealthy. The government responded by introducing new laws to prevent such trusts and the labor was unsatisfied because they controlled everything.

He showed that the people were not as free to conduct whatever deeds they wanted and that the federal government was still in charge and that laws would have to be obeyed or people would be punished if they broke the laws. He also showed that the government will only meddle in such affairs reasonably and not be tyrannical.

This was shown through active confrontation with the people who thought they could do what they wanted. For example, during the progressive age Roosevelt engaged in breaking monopolies and trusts which didn't include physical violence but did include breaking unjust treatment of the country and exploitation of laws.
