Organic food is expensive, however one school in our region, Dickinson Middle School, was able to add an organic vegetable option to every meal while raising their food cost by only 1 percent. likewise, Browning Junior High did so with only a 2 percent increase. as a result Students were healthier, and the administrators didn't have to fret about the budget. On the opposing side, some worry that students won't like the organic options, and we'll end up with a surplus of food and a problematic budget.
