Those are adjacent angles. They will equal 180 degrees since they both ly on the same straight line. Straight line= 180 degrees. 

10x-20+6x+8=180

Add 20 to both sides. 

10x+6x+8= 200

Combine like terms. 

16x=192

Divide both sides by 16. 

x=12
