10x - 20 + 6x + 8 = 180

16x - 12 = 180

16x -12 (+12) = 180 (+12)

16x = 192

16x/16 = 192/16

x = 192/16

x = 12

hope this helps

note: a straight line is equal to 180°  *
note: you must add the two together and equal it to 180° to get x at the end*

hope this helps

Those are adjacent angles. They will equal 180 degrees since they both ly on the same straight line. Straight line= 180 degrees.

10x-20+6x+8=180

Add 20 to both sides.

10x+6x+8= 200

Combine like terms.

16x=192

Divide both sides by 16.

x=12

I hope this helps!

Alex Ar [27]

Answer: C

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that \angle AHB=90^{\circ}, and thus by the exterior angle theorem,

90^{\circ}+\alpha=4\alpha\\\\90=3\alpha\\\\\alpha=30^{\circ}

Thus, \angle CAB=2\theta=\boxed{60^{\circ}}

What is the base of the expression 11^12? A. 3 B. 11 C. 12 D. 21
lisov135 [29]
<h3>Answer: B. 11</h3>

An exponential has the base at the bottom, or the lower portion. Think of "basement" to help remember this. The exponent is the number up top, so 12 is the exponent.

Factor the expression 8x^3y-8x^2y-30xy
miv72 [106K]

Find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF)

GCF = 2xy

Factor out the GCF. (Write the GCF first. Then, in parentheses, divide each term by the GCF.)

2xy(8x^3y/2xy + -8x^2y/2xy + -30xy/2xy)

Simplify each term in parenthesis

2xy(4x^2 - 4x - 15)

Split the second term in 4x^2 - 4x - 15 into two terms

2xy(4x^2 + 6x - 10x - 15)

Factor out common terms in the first two terms, then in the last two terms;

2xy(2x(2x + 3) -5(2x + 3))

Factor out the common term 2x + 3

<u>= 2xy(2x + 3)(2x - 5)</u>
