B) with the air released
B) “pumps out”
The word deflated in paragraph 6 is used to describe a balloon that has all of the air released. The author uses this comparison between the balloon and the bladderwort to help the reader better visualize what is happening. The first sentence describes the bladderwort as pumping out all of it's water. This way when a bug comes by and touches a hair in front of it's door, it can suck in a great deal of water, and with it the bug that is now it's meal.

Explanation;
A semicolon is most commonly used to link (in a single sentence) two independent clauses that are closely related in thought.
When used to join two or more ideas (parts) in a sentence, those ideas are then given equal position or rank.
You cannot use a semicolon to list off objects, such as letter a and b.
You also can't use one in the middle of a sentence, like the third sentence.
Hi there!
When I’m writing I think coming up with organization is the easiest thing for me. Personally grammar is one of the biggest struggles for me, especially because now-a-days I speak in-proper English. A goal I have is to make sure that not only I, but others should be able to understand my writing, because at the end of the day, I’m not only writing it for me. Sometimes when I’m having trouble I read older books that came out in the early 2000s to have an easier understanding.
Hope this helps!
