An anonymous Athenian used a stone tablet to record his Delphic hymn in honor of the Greek god Apollo.
Explanation:
Two pieces of music dedicated to the Delphic Apollo survived, two hymns found in stone inscriptions in the sanctuary, but it is not known how they were performed. The transcription of the Greek musical notation still retains many unknowns, besides being in a fragmentary state, and the reconstruction that is currently available to the melodies is conjectural. Anyway they are among the oldest known sheet music in the western world.
