We know the distance formula is

\sqrt{ (x_{2}-x_{1})^2+ (y_{2}-y_{1})^2 }

9)

Here A( -4,2) and B(1,4)

So length of AB

= \sqrt{(1-(-4))^2+(4-2)^2} =\sqrt{5^2+2^2} =\sqrt{29}

Also C(2,1)

Length of BC

= \sqrt{(2-1)^2+(-1-4)^2} =\sqrt{1^2+(-5)^2} =\sqrt{26}

So we can see that length of AB is not equal to length of BC

11.

Now AB = \sqrt{29}

Also C(2,-1) & D(4,4)

Length of CD

= \sqrt{(4-2)^2+(4-(-1)) ^2} =\sqrt{2^2+5^2} =\sqrt{29}

Yes AB = CD

Which radical expressions are equivalent to the exponential expression below ? Check all that apply . (13 + 8) ^ (1/2) A. (13 +
Fantom [35]

Answer:

(B)\sqrt{21}\\(C)\sqrt{13+8}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression (13 + 8) ^{1/2}

Using law of indices: a^{1/2}=\sqrt{a}

(13 + 8) ^{1/2}=\sqrt{13+8}

Also:13+8=21

Therefore:

(13 + 8) ^{1/2}=21^{1/2}\\=\sqrt{21}

Alyssa said that 6/8 and 9/12 are not equivalent because there's no whole number you can multiply both parts of 6/8 by to get 9/
luda_lava [24]
No. 6/8=9/12
by multiplying the denominators you get the common denominator of 72
then multiply each numerator by the number of the opposite denominator
8x12=96
6x12=72
9x8=72
Therefore, 72/96=72/96
                   (6/8   = 9/12)

If x and y are two supplementary angles whereas m
Rudiy27

Answer:

110degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Complete question

Q4: If x and y are two supplementary angles whereas m<x=70 then find the m<y.

The sum of two supplementary angles is 180degrees, hence;

m<x + m<y = 180

70 + m<y = 180

m<y = 180 - 70

m<y = 110degrees

Hence the measure of ,=m<y is 110degrees
