The answer is $240 because 2/3 in a years have 8 month so just multiply 3*8  which give you 24 and just add a zero.

Your answer is: $240.

Thank you

Find three consecutive odd integers such that the product of the first and the second exceeds the third by 8
Svetlanka [38]
If x is the first integer, then the next two are x+2 and x+4.

If the product of the first and second are greater than the third integer by 8, that means you have the following equation:

x(x+2)=(x+4)+8\implies x^2+x-12=(x-3)(x+4)=0\implies x=3\text{ or }x=-4

Ignore x=-4 since it's an even integer.

Check that x=3 is correct. The next two odd integers would be 5 and 7. You have

3\times5=15=7+8

so this is correct.

Help with steps please
Fofino [41]

We know there are 2 L per tick, and the water reaches above 20 but below 30... so that mean the water's in it's 20's.

There are 4 ticks, so 2 * 4 = 8L.

20 + 8 = 28L in Jose's container.

We know that there are 2L per tick, so shade it to the 40, and shade in 2 more ticks, because 2 * 2 = 4. And Jackson needs 44 ticks.

Basically shade it to the 40 mark. Then shade in 2 more ticks.
