6. the triangles are not congruent because they must be the same. one is smaller so this is not true. they are similar and share the same slope

7. we will use point slope to make an equation
y + 16 =  \frac{9}{5} (x + 10)
now try the different points and see if the statement is true. for instance if we try (0,2) we get
2 + 16 =  \frac{9}{5} (0 + 10) \\ 18 =  \frac{90}{5}  \\ 18 = 18
lol I guess it is that one. might want to check the.others as well

slope of line is change in y divided by change in x
so we need to just subtract the values
\frac{ - 12 - 8}{17 - 17}
this give us a denominator of 0 so the slope is undefined. we see that because the x values are the same but different y values this represents a vertical line.

for the next one
\frac{ - 2 - 1}{6 + 3}  =  \frac{ - 3}{9}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}
9. do the same for this as above. subtract the y values and divide by the difference of x values. if you get -6 that is the correct response I will write the formula below

Given 2 points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) the slope is.given by
\frac{y1 - y2}{ x1 - x2}
10. to find we subtract the 15 base charge from each value to find
2 hrs is 150
4 hrs is 300 etc
divide by number of hrs to see 150/2 is 75 and 300/4 is 75 to find they charge 75 per hour

Solving equations (algebra). Thank you!
LenKa [72]

Answer:

\large\boxed{\dfrac{1}{x^2}+x^2=23}

Step-by-step explanation:

\left(\dfrac{1}{x}+x\right)^2=25\qquad\text{use}\ (a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2\\\\\left(\dfrac{1}{x}\right)^2+2(x\!\!\!\!\diagup)\left(\dfrac{1}{x\!\!\!\!\diagup}\right)+x^2=25\\\\\dfrac{1}{x^2}+2+x^2=25\qquad\text{subtract 2 from both sides}\\\\\dfrac{1}{x^2}+x^2=23

KiRa [710]

Answer:

She needs 3/4 or 0.75 cups of sugar.

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2 = 2/4

2/4 + 1/4 = <em>3/4</em>

Four servings of yogurt have 12 grams of protein. What is the number of grams of protein per serving?
tester [92]
If there are 12 grams of protein in all, and 4 servings, in order to get the amount of grams per serving you must divide 12 by 4.

12 divided by 4 = 4.

Therefore, there are 4 grams per serving.
