What factors do 28 and 44 have in common?
umka21 [38]
2 and 9 are factors<span> of 18.</span>

<span>When we have two or more given numbers, we can find the largest factor that both numbers have in common. This is called the </span>GCF<span> or the </span>Greatest Common Factor.

There are several different methods that can be used to find the GCF. Let's take a look at some of the methods.

Method 1:<span> List out the factors.</span>

<span>Example: Find the GCF of 64 and 96. </span>

Step 1:<span> List the factors of each number. </span>

64: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64

96: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48, 96

Step 2:<span> Look for factors that both lists have in common.</span>

Step 3:<span> Pick out the largest factor that both lists have in common and call this the GCF.</span>

Therefore, the GCF of 64 and 96 is 32.

Method 2:<span> Upside Down Division</span>

Find the GCF of 280 and 144.

Step 1:<span> Place the numbers inside an upside down division bar.</span>

Step 2:Now, we need to divide both numbers by a common factor. Because both of the numbers are even, we could start with 2.The answer goes underneath the bar.

Step 3:<span> We will continue to divide until we have two numbers that are relatively prime. Remember that relatively prime means two numbers that do not have any common factors other than 1.</span>

<span>35 and 18 are relatively prime. </span>

Step 4:<span> Now we take all of the factors on the side and multiply them together.</span>

Plzzz help. I just need someone to tell me a bunch of stuff about planning for the cost of college. I will mark brainliest when
sammy [17]

Answer:

is this for a project or just for you?  There are several ways

Step-by-step explanation:

First, a few questions:

what are your interests in college? like what subject/ major?

Are you interested in a certain type of college like local, state school, private, in state/ out of state?

How do you feel about attending courses on line?

Are you interested in working while in school?

Do you plan to live at home, in a dorm, with a relative or roommate? (in other words, would you have to pay rent?)

If you're still in high school, would you be able to work now before going to college?

How soon do you plan to/ will be able to attend college?

Things you need to know are:

does your state pay for tuition to state schools?

Do your parents/guardian/relative claim you on their taxes? because if they do, the financial aid dept will have to look at the income of whomever claims you.

If you have a few schools in mind, go on their website and look at the financial aid and see if they list any grants that you could apply for.

You can also check their cost per credit for a class. Be aware that 1 class could have 2, 3, or 4 credits etc so, for example, if their cost was $200 per credit, a class might cost you $800... like... just 1 class. Private schools are more expensive than state schools, but some private schools have special grants from alum or donations etc.

I'm just going to throw a number out there and say that if you went to a local uni near me, i'd budged for about $3000 a semester and that's just class fees, books, administrative fees... not including dorm, food or transportation.

I'm sure you might not want to count on a grant or loan, but it's hard for a single person to pay for college unless you have funds or a good paying job. Also, going to a junior college for core classes (english, science, math, history) can be cheaper OR find an online class ( but make sure in both cases that your credits will transfer).

Usually a school guidance counselor will help you through all of this stuff.

OH! there's also work-study where you can get a job on campus that goes towards paying your tuition.

Really there are many options.

3x + 2 = x + 4 ( x + 2 )
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

<h2>x = -3</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+2=x+4(x+2)\qquad\text{use the distributive property}\ a(b+c)=ab+ac\\\\3x+2=x+(4)(x)+(4)(2)\\\\3x+2=x+4x+8\qquad\text{combine like terms}\\\\3x+2=(x+4x)+8\\\\3x+2=5x+8\qquad\text{subtract 2 from both sides}\\\\3x+2-2=5x+8-2\\\\3x=5x+6\qquad\text{subtract}\ 5x\ \text{from both sides}\\\\3x-5x=5x-5x+6\\\\-2x=6\qquad\text{divide both sides by (-2)}\\\\\dfrac{-2x}{-2}=\dfrac{6}{-2}\\\\x=-3

The volume of gas in a container at a constant temperature varies inversely as the pressure. If the volume is 32 cubic centimete
finlep [7]

Answer:

The new pressure is 4.27 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we have the volume varying inversely as the pressure;

Firstly, let's say the volume is V and the pressure is P

Mathematically;

V ∝ 1/P

Let us insert a constant of proportionality K

⇒ VP = K

Let's calculate the value of K

K = 32cm^{3} × 8 = 256 cm^{3} pounds

Now in the second scenario, pressure is unknown but we know the volume to be 60cm^{3}

Recalling;  VP = K

P = K/V = 256 cm^{3} pounds/60cm^{3} = 4.27 pounds
