Adjectives can modify in several different ways. The most important templates to know are these:

The (noun) is (adjective).

EX: The people were happy.

(pronoun) is (adjective) .

EX: She is pretty.

Adjectives modify the word they are describing. For example, in the sentence, "I lost my new sweater", the adjective "new" would modify the noun "sweater".

1. Small is the adjective, and it describes castle; it tells us the castle's size.

2. Remember that adjectives can be numbers! Five is the adjective, and it describes catfish; it tells us how many catfish there were.

3. The adjective is toy and the noun modified is diver, because it describes what kind of diver he is.

4. The adjective is light and the noun is tap. Light describes how Anna tapped.

5. The adjective is science and the noun is class, because it tells us what kind of class it is.

6. The adjective is tiny, and the noun is snake. Tiny describes the size of the snake.

7. The adjective is special and the noun is food. Special tells us what kind of food it is.

8. The adjective is air and the noun is bubbles, because air describes what kind of bubbles there are.

9. The adjective is happy and the noun is fish. Happy describes the fish.

10. The adjective is proud and the noun is we. Proud tells us how they felt about the aquarium.

Hope this helps!
