Groundwater is the water which is present beneath the Earth's surface. It is widely used as a source of freshwater. It is a cheap source of freshwater. Urbanization and pollution have both contributed to an increase in the use of groundwater in today's time. Groundwater is less polluted now a days as compared to other sources of water.
