Iambic pentameter is a classic form of poetry dating from the fifteenth century when it first appeared in Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales." Shakespeare would later write his renowned sonnets and plays in iambic pentameter. Just to mention such names, it seems challenging to write this poetic form. However, it can be mastered with some practice and understanding of form.
