<span>Part A: How many solutions does the pair of equations for lines A and B have? Explain your answer.
The pair of equations have two solutions this is because the graph has been plotted from two systems of linear equations that the number of solutions is equal to the number of equations which is equal to 2 solutions.

</span><span>Part B: What is the solution to the equations of lines A and B? Explain your answer.
The solution to the systems of equations is found at the point where the lines intersect. This is at point (3,4); Thus the solution to the equation is x=3 and y=4. </span>

3x+4y=5
KonstantinChe [14]
3x + 4y = 5
2x - 5y = 8

To answer this question, we need to put both of these equations into Slope-Intercept form, or in other words, solve for y.

3x + 4y = 5            Subtract 3x from both sides
        4y = -3x + 5   Divide both sides by 4
          y = -\frac{3}{4} + \frac{5}{4}

2x - 5y = 8   Subtract 2x from both sides
      -5y = -2x + 8   Divide both sides by -5
         y = \frac{2}{5} - \frac{8}{5}

When you look at the two equations, you can see that their slopes are completely different, so they aren't parallel, or inconsistent. Since  \frac{2}{5} is not the same as<span> -\frac{3}{4}, they aren't the same line, or dependent. So, the only option left is that they are consistent and independent.</span>

An online store lets customers have their name printed on any item they buy. the total cost c in dollars is the price of the ite
Vsevolod [243]
So the total cost depends on the price of the item(s) (c depends on p)
The independent variable is p, the price of the item, because it is not going to depend on anything else.
The dependent variable is c, because the total cost depends on how many items there are, whether your name is marked on it, etc.
The equation would be :
c = p + $3.99

I hope this was helpful!

Add parentheses to the equation below so that x=–5<br>5*4-6 divided by 2=x
aleksley [76]
Put parentheses around 4-6. all that would equal -55*-2 /2. i would equal 55. idk if this helps but here you go
