Find the surface area of the figure below.
PSYCHO15rus [73]
The pyramid given above has four faces. Each of which are in triangular shape. The area of the triangle is calculated through the equation,

                       A = bh / 2
where A is area, b is base and h is the height.

Substituting the known values,

                      A = (4 inch)(9 inch) / 2 = 18 in²

Multiplying this area by 4 will give us an answer of 72 in².

Then, we also calculate for the area of the square base.
                      A = s²
where s is the measure of each side of the square.

                       A = (4 in)² = 16 in²

Finally, we add up the calculated areas.
                  surface area = 72 in² + 16 in²
                      surface area = 88 in²

Hence, the surface area of the figure is equal to 88 in².

Find the length of AC. Express your answer in terms of pi.
Answer options: 5, 30, 45, 15.
Nitella [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is 3πcm

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of an arc is calculated using the formula P=∅/360×2πr

where ∅is the angle the arc subtends at the center of the circle, and r is the radius of the circle of which the arc is part.

2r gives the diameter which from the diagram corresponds to AB=36 cm

therefore P=30/360×π×36

=3πcm

5*9 (sqrt 10)^3= Help please
Nikitich [7]
Use BODMAS or BIDMAS (Brackets, over Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition, the Subtraction, this tells you which order to do things in)

As you cant do √10 in the brackets you do the indices, so (√10)³
Split this up to make it easier
(√10)³= √10 x √10 x √10 = 10√10

You the multiply this by 9

9 x 10√10 = 90√10

then multiply by 5

5 x 90√10 = 450√10 = 1423.024947 (using calculator)
