The grasslands are vast areas that are covered with grasses. The type of grasses varies from place to place, and they can be short grasses, medium height, or tall grasses. The grasslands tend to be semi-arid, where the majority of the year is dry, and the majority of the rainfall occurs only in one period of the year. These vast grass covered areas are found deeper into the continents, and they are usually located between the forests and the deserts. As they go further into the interior, the grasslands gradually are replaced by deserts where the precipitation levels are below 25 cm annually.
Any species in the ecosystem which is or is less in numbers and can go extinct or fade away from the surface of the earth either by a man-made or natural cause is considered to be an endangered species EN as per the Red list of species published big data book of the IUCN.
Thus the species falls vulnerable unable to withstand the impacts of a hostile environment and which is compromised in its loss due to the depletion of food resources and the depletion of the habitat of species.
These species should be identified and should be kept away from the reach of the man in the biosphere reserves that allow their population to bounce back and thereby their survival rates are high. Keeping hem in breeding grounds and restoration of there lost habits is a must
