Obligation, possibility, present/past ability or promise.
balandron [24]

Answer:

a. possibility

b. past ability

c. promise

d. present ability

e. obligation

f. obligation

Explanation:

a. The use of "may" indicates the possibility of something happening in the future. "May" indicates a higher probability of that happening than "might".

b. "Could have" can indicate past ability or possibility. In this case, it seems that Nina did have the ability or strength to carry the bag, but she didn't do it. "Could have" is commonly used to indicate precisely that - the non-doing of something that we had the ability to do.

c. "Will" refers to a future action that we intend to do. In other words, it indicates a promise, a will to make something happen in the future.

d. "Can", among other things, is used to express present ability. It often accompanies verbs such as "run", "swim", "sing", etc.

e. and f. "Must" and "should" are used to indicate obligation. However, "should" indicates a lighter obligation, closer to a recommendation. "Must", on the other hand, is more imperative.

Can someone give me a 5 sentence summary of The Cask of Amontillado please <3 doesn’t need to be VERY detailed but good enoug
zaharov [31]

Answer:

explanation

Explanation:

The story begins describing the main character and him wanting revenge on his friend. The main character proceeds to find his friend during a party and uses reverse psychology to trick his half-drunken friend to follow him on the claim he found a rare bottle of Amontillado. The main character and his friend head down the cellar and gives his friend alcohol to keep him drunk and to make sure his friend doesn't turn away due to the smog in the cellar. They reach the far end of the cellar and the friend is now chained in a ditch and half-awake. The main character builds a wall over the area and buries the man alive, cut back and you realize the main character is older now and that this all happened in the past.
