The War Hawks were fed up with the plodding diplomatic tactics of Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They were convinced that a declaration of war was the only honourable response to these repeated violations.

From November 1811 to June 1812, the War Hawks argued for war and the requisite financial and military preparations. Most congressmen were opposed to war, but many voted for increased military spending and an expanded militia. They were confident that Britain would yield to U.S. demands if it saw that America was seriously considering military action. After all, Britain was already deeply involved with the Napoleonic Wars in Europe

A kingdom for a stage, princes to act
storchak [24]

The line that describes the purpose of this excerpt of the prologue is:

It states the conflict that occurs at the end of the play.

Explanation:

The play is about the war that Henry the 6th has to fight to keep his kingdom and his reckless campaigns in the French territories he believed he had natural claim on like previous kings.

This play was in a way symbolic of the waning influence of the dynasty that Henry VI was from and the war would prove to be the nail in the coffin.

This prologue sets up the major pieces of the conflict very well here only by setting up the war and the eventual losses of the person faced.
