Abraham Lincoln, one of the most consequential leaders in American History delivered the famous Gettysburg address in 1863. One of the most important traits in a leader is his/her ability to look forward and President Lincoln demonstrated that in the Gettysburg address. The following passage from the address demonstrates that. When he said, "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.", he means that the future generations will always look back on the sacrifice of the soldiers for a cause which was so much bigger than any one person. Note that Lincoln appealed to the larger world and not only the Northern and Southern states when he made that inspiring speech.

Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

The final sentence shows how buying experiences does not have stressful factors, such as buying products, and this encourages happiness.

Explanation:

Hi. The sentence presented in the question above is the final sentence of the article "You Can Buy Happiness, If It's An Experience."

This article shows how people are happier buying experiences than buying products. According to the article, buying products is stressful and stress prevents happiness. Buying products is competitive and violent, we can see an example of this during the black friday where people violently attack each other in search of products.

Going on a trip, having a romantic dinner, or any other type of experience, is something that promotes a lot of happiness, does not have violence or stress and this can be much more satisfying for the human being. This is the main theme of the article and this is directly linked to the sentence presented at the end of the article, because this sentence shows, that no one gets stressed when participating in an experience like an "oyester party."

Choose a character from a story that you are familiar with and explain why the character is either a psychopath or a narcissist.
ASHA 777 [7]
A character that shows signs of narcissism is Dorian Gray, the main character from Oscar Wilde’s novel. He was once an innocent man but is corrupted by a portrait. This causes Dorian to admire himself in extreme ways which later led to his downfall. In the novel it says, “I make a great difference between people— consequently they all appreciate me. Is that very vain of me? I think its rather vain.” This quote proves that he is obsessed with his beauty, intelligence, youth, and charm. Dorian takes advantage of this and would do more to keep it that way.
