SQ = square root
329 = 20 * SQ (273+ t)
Do the inverse of everything on the left
Divide by 20
Square your answer (329/20)
and subtract 273 from it
((329/20)^2)-273 = t

The nearest degree, if my math is correct was -2 degrees.
I'm not sure how to graph the equation, or I can't graph it for you, rather. Try Desmos if you need to graph it.

Ben thinks that the slope ratio for this triangle is 7/10. Carlissa thinks the ratio is 10/7 Who is correct? Explain your thinki
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

Both answers are correct, depending on the angle taken as reference

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

In a right triangle

The slope ratio of the triangle is equal to the function tangent

The function tangent in a right triangle is equal to the opposite side to the angle divided by the adjacent side to the angle

so

tan(35)=\frac{7}{10} -----> Ben's ratio

and

tan(55)=\frac{10}{7} ------> Carlissa's ratio

therefore

The slope will depend on the angle taken as a reference

so

Both answers are correct, depending on the angle taken as reference.

3. Evaluate at the given value: g(x)=-2x+7, g^-1(-2)
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

<h2>{g}^{ - 1} ( - 2)  =  \frac{9}{2}</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To find g-¹( 2) we must first find g-¹(x)

To find g-¹(x) equate g(x) to y

That's

y = g(x)

We have

y = - 2x + 7

Now interchange the terms that's x becomes y and y becomes x

We have

x = - 2y + 7

Make y the subject in order to find g-¹(x)

Move 7 to the left side of the equation

- 2y = x - 7

Multiply both sides by - 1

We have

2y = 7 - x

Divide both sides by 2 to make y stand alone

That's

<h3>y =  \frac{7 - x}{2}</h3>

So we have

<h3>g ^{ - 1} (x) =  \frac{7 - x}{2}</h3>

Now to find g-¹(- 2) substitute the value of x that's - 2 into the expression

We have

<h3>{g}^{ - 1} ( - 2) =  \frac{7 -  - 2}{2}  \\ {g}^{ - 1} ( - 2)  =  \frac{7 + 2}{2}</h3>

We have the final answer as

<h3>{g}^{ - 1} ( - 2)  =  \frac{9}{2}</h3>

Hope this helps you
