I'd practice different shots, angles, practicing with different settings on your camera, finding the perfect lens to suit their needs, etc. Beginner photographers have a lot to do and practice before they get good at what they do, and that involves knowing your camera, and knowing how to get perfect pictures. The only way to do this is practice.
