D. None of the above

Spoken language was created even before time.

Remember, technically GOD exists outside the time realm, and before time was even there, GOD was. In a sense, we can see inside the book of Genesis, that GOD essentially spoke, and it was there.

For example, "God said, Let there be light; and there was light"

Inside this semi-quote, we see that God "said". This implies that there was language even before the creation of the world.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, if we put it into human context, language started on the creation of man, the first one being Adam. Note that he was given the right to "name all the creatures.." This means that language was already existent by then for him to "name" the other living things.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, it brings us to the point where multiple languages were created.

During the "Building of the tower of Babel", GOD saw that the people were becoming more prideful. This led to the event of the building of the tower of Babel, which was a tower that essentially would rise to the heavens. However, GOD caused many languages to develop, so that people could not communicate properly. Those who spake the same language gathered together, and each group went their separate ways.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Based on these events, we can say that D. None of the above is your best answer

Hey there!

When Adam and Eve were on the Earth, they probably spoke one language. This language is lost and unknown. It is rumored to have been called "Adamic", but none of this can be confirmed.

Many people believe that the first language was removed and all of the new languages were made during the Tower of Babel. This was when a large group of people wanted to build a tower that would reach Heaven. They began to build a grand tower. But then, God cursed them to all speak different languages. Nobody could communicate with each other. Then again, this does not relate to when spoken LANGUAGE developed.

The tower was being built around 2240 B.C.m

M.Y.A. is stands for a Million Years Ago. The Tower of Babel was about 4,000 years ago. But then again, there were people on the Earth before Adam and Eve, it was just all of the cavemen and Ice Age men. Adam and Eve have been speculated to have come to Earth during about 5,000 B.C.

People speculate that the prehistoric humans began to speak about 150,000 years ago.

There are many theories as to how language formed. Mammals came into existence during the Cenozoic era, which stretches from 66 million years ago to present day. Therefore, all humans began to speak sometime during this era, but it cannot have been during the Ice Age, due to previous information.

I would say that the origin of language could be determined, but then again, that is where science and religion clash and then we're back to square one. But then again, we could make somewhat of an estimate. I would have to go with D. None of the Above because we could come up with some sort of estimate as to when languages began to be spoken, but I cannot be 100% sure.

I hope this helps! Have a great day! :)

Taya2010 [7]
Answer: sensory adaptation.

Sensory adaptation it's when the sensitivity to a stimulus decreases as a consequence of constant exposure to the stimulus.
When the stimulus starts, the neurons will begin firing action potentials. After a while in the same environment, you'll most likely have forgotten all about that sensation (in this case noise) even though the stimulus is exactly the same.
