In question 13 you must find the volume of the prism in 1/6 in. There are 13 1/6in in 2 1/6in, 7 1/6in in 1 1/6in, and 6 in 1in, so you multiply 13 * 7 * 6 = 546

 Find the volume in Q14, 4 2/5 * 3 1/2 * 2 1/4

Convert

\frac{12}{5} * \frac{7}{2} * \frac{9}{4} = 18.9

The answers on the third one are A, C, and F

The answers on the fourth one are B, D, and E

 Hopefully it helps!!

For the first three you need to find volume, so the formula for volume is b*w*h. base*width*hight. so multiply all three numbers together and you will find your answer.

lawyer [7]

Part A: The exponential function is the best model for the given data. The data shows that every month the number of visitor approximately doubles from previous month. In other words the number is some base value (2, in this case) with the number of month (t) being in the exponent. This the a key characteristic of an exponential growth.

Part B: (also explained above). Every month the number of visitors approximately doubles. Starting with 5.74 at month 8, the numbers goes up by about the same amount to 12.0 at month 9. At month 10, a similar increase occurs (doubling would be 24, and the data shows 25, so this is all "aproximate"). This trend continues throughout the table.

Part C:

Month 7 will be estimated as half of month 8 (going backward):

Month 7: 5.74/2=2.87

Estimate for month 7 = 2.87 thousand visitors.

A long jumper lifts off 3 m after starting his run, and lands 6 m later. When he is 8 m from the start line, he is 5 cm above an
slega [8]

Answer:

The equation of the parabola that models the path of the long jumper through the air is y = -x^{2}+12\cdot x -27.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mathematically, we know that parabolas are second-order polynomials and every second-order polynomials, also known as quadratic functions, can be constructed by knowing three different points of the curve. The standard form of the parabola is:

y = a\cdot x^{2}+b\cdot x + c

Where:

x - Horizontal distance from the start line, measured in meters.

y - Height of the long jumper, measured in meters.

a, b, c - Polynomial constants, measured in \frac{1}{m}, dimensionless and meters, respectively.

If we know that (x_{1},y_{1}) = (3\,m, 0\,m), (x_{2},y_{2}) = (8\,m, 0.05\,m) and (x_{3}, y_{3}) = (9\,m, 0\,m), this system of linear equations is presented below:

9\cdot a + 3\cdot b + c = 0 (Eq. 1)

81\cdot a + 9\cdot b + c = 0 (Eq. 2)

64\cdot a + 8\cdot b + c = 0.05 (Eq. 3)

The coefficients of the polynomial are, respectively:

a = -\frac{1}{100}, b = \frac{3}{25}, c = -\frac{27}{100}

The equation of the parabola that models the path of the long jumper through the air is y' = -\frac{1}{100}\cdot x^{2}+\frac{3}{25}\cdot x -\frac{27}{100}.

But we need y measured in centimeters, then, we use the following conversion:

y = 100\cdot y'

Then, we get that:

y = -x^{2}+12\cdot x -27

Where x and y are measured in meters and centimeters, respectively.

The equation of the parabola that models the path of the long jumper through the air is y = -x^{2}+12\cdot x -27.

Find the radius r of C.
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

By Pythagoras' Theorem:

16 + r = √(24^2 + r^2)

(16 + r)^2 = 24^2 + r^2

256 + 32r + r^2 = 576 + r^2

32r = 320

r = 10
