It tells us that he is depressed and doesn't really know what he likes. He is immature, and seems to like to argue. He can't see the good in anything and Phoebe then calls him out on it. Hope this helps!:)

Answer :

A. Chekhov's use of the third-person limited point of view in "The Bet" allows him to describe the banker's self-contempt when the banker reads the lawyer's essay.

The banker had turned immoral after thinking about the consequences of the bet and intends to kill the lawyer to avoid paying him the money. The non-existent narrative voice in Chekhov's "The Bet" captivates the reader to delve into the mind of the banker and understand the feelings of self-contempt and disdain that he is experiencing upon reading the lawyer's essay.

The correct answer is ...make sure they are not touching each other...

About storage, the passage specifies only "spotless apples" should be selected and yeomen had to "make sure they are not touching each other". This specific detail shows one bruised apple can spoil all the other apples if this is in contact with other apples. Due to this, yeomen avoided putting apples together or storing spoiled apples. According to this, from the options, the detail that supports the idea one bad apple can spoil the others is "make sure they are not touching each other."

pls help 68 pnts! Why do you think we engage in casual analysis despite knowing possible negative effects of that behavior?
igor_vitrenko [27]

Because of this, our critical thinking skills are being enhanced. When we practice causal analysis, we do not only identify what happened, but instead, we are compelled to dig deeper and learn what caused an event to happen.
