In a brief paragraph, outline the ways in which OPEC is a trade barrier?
Brut [27]

Answer:

OPEC can be observed as a trade barrier because it could hypothetically completely exclude a country from trading with countries that produce oil and this would make life much harder for those countries. For example, OPEC introduced an embargo on the US in 70s and there was a huge spike in gas prices and a shortage of fuel.

What was the League of Nations and why was it created? What countries initially joined?
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

1). The League of Nations was an international diplomatic group developed after World War I as a way to solve disputes between countries before they erupted into open warfare. A precursor to the United Nations, the League achieved some victories but had a mixed record of success, sometimes putting self-interest before becoming involved with conflict resolution, while also contending with governments that did not recognize its authority. The League effectively ceased operations during World War II.

2). It began with four permanent members (Great Britain, France, Italy, and Japan) and four non-permanent members that were elected by the Assembly for a three-year term. The first non-permanent members were Belgium, Brazil, Greece, and Spain. The composition of the Council was changed several times.
