<h2><em>The Supreme Court is comprised of the Chief Justice and 13 Justices. The Chief Justice then appoints one Justice as the Minister of National Court Administration, a non-adjudicatory capacity. Therefore, in practical effect, the Chief Justice and 12 Justices discharge the adjudicative functions.</em></h2>
The colonists felt that the British government had no right to tax them because there were not any representatives of the colonies in the British Parliament. The colonies had no say in how much the taxes should be or what they should pay for.
