The Civilian conservation corps, or CCC was made by the US government to help get the US economy back into shape. They were trained, and were given tasks, including planting trees, conserving wildlife, and help rebuilding the economy. Not only did they help rebuild the US, but the CCC also served as training for many young Americans for WW2, which the US soon joined after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
