‘Annabel Lee’ was the last poem that Edgar Allan Poe wrote before he died in 1849. The poem was about 2 people and how passionate their love for each other was. It was so intense that angels get jealous and murdered Annabel Lee by sending such a strong wind that it chills her to death. The narrator of the poem is extremely saddened by her death, but doesn’t give up on their love.
