>This was mainly an issue with technology. <

During WW2 the Japanese armies were armed with was is known as the Arisaka-family bolt action rifle. Bolt action rifles generally have good amounts of limitations in combat, mainly because you can only shoot once before having to load another bullet into the chamber.

While the Japanese were armed with these, they were going up against something pretty hardcore. U.S infantry having more modernized weaponry than the Japanese-The U.S. armies were armed with the semi-automatic M1 grand.

Another factor that caused mass casualties for the Japanese was Firebombing.

The U.S. aircraft would literally burn entire areas-ashes to ground. During the U.S. campaigns, the most effective happened to be a firebombing on Tokyo-It was a part of the Operation Meetinghouse.

The Japanese government also issued suicide attacks.

The Japanese government created these culture encouraging suicide attacks, opposed to surrendering. It was to show as a part of having an honorable samurai death.
The Banzai charges had mixed ratios of effectiveness. Some were able to overwhelm small enemies, but they suffered mass casualties when attacking larger, superior forces.

Which of these actions is an example of American leaders following the advice President Washington gave in his Farewell Address
Vadim26 [7]
One example of the action is <span>the end of the French-American alliance in 1800, which ended the Quasi-War.
During his farewell address, George washington adviced the importance of foreign relation and the danger if we maintain permanent alliance with another nations (because it can't ensure our neutrality if that nation is in conflict). So the end of French-American alliance is a step to end that permanent alliance</span>

Describe the type of governments that churchill beliefs are governing eastern europe and how this contrasts with why the allies
mina [271]
Churchill believed that governments in Eastern Europe were falling victim to dominance from the Soviet Union and were becoming police states that promoted the communist agenda.

In his famous "Sinews of Peace" speech given at Westminster College in Missouri, in 1946, Churchill coined the term "Iron Curtain" for what he saw falling as a barrier between Western and Eastern Europe.  Behind that "curtain," governments and peoples lay in the Soviet sphere -- "subject in one form or another, not only to Soviet influence but to a very high and, in many cases, increasing measure of control from Moscow."  He continued by saying, "<span>The Communist parties, which were very small in all these Eastern States of Europe, have been raised to pre-eminence and power far beyond their numbers and are seeking everywhere to obtain totalitarian control. Police governments are prevailing in nearly every case, and so far, except in Czechoslovakia, there is no true democracy."

Britain and France and the United States fought World War II, in their view, for the protection of freedom and democracy.  For Eastern Europe to be turned into a set of communist, totalitarian states went against their goals and against the promise of free and open elections that Stalin had promised at the Yalta Conference prior to the end of the war.</span>
