The former empire of Austria-Hungary had dissolved and many new nations were formed from its land. Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary & Yugoslavia. The Ottoman Turks had to give up almost all of their land in southwest Asia and the Middle East. They only had the country of Turkey left.
