It is generally considered to include the countries of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia, as well as areas of Croatia, Greece, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. The Iberian peninsula includes Portugal and Spain, while the Italian peninsula includes Italy.
