Women suffrage occurs prior to the creation of the 19th amendment in 1920, which allow women to cast votes during the election.

The struggle began in 1848. At that time, women were openly discriminated against in the workforce and households.

But none of the government representatives willing to make laws to change this situation. Because of this, women start to feel the need to obtain the rights to appoint the representatives that are willing to fight for them within the government.
