In the passage, the author supports his argument by doing which of the following?
bixtya [17]

In the passage, the author supports his argument by providing a description of the river below the dam.

We can see several descriptive words about the ride in the river below the dam in a beautiful and even romantic way that puts the human creation way under the attributes of nature.

The other options are not related to what the author says since he doesn't talk about the effects of the dam or any specific problems caused by it, neither he makes a comparison with both areas.

How do asides work is conjunction with dramatic icon
ikadub [295]

Answer: An aside gives the audience more information than what the other characters know; it helps the audience see when a character’s actions might not end up as planned.

Explanation:

In theater and literature, an aside is a comment/remark which is intended to be heard by the people in the audience but not by the other characters in a play. Dramatic irony is a term for a situation in which the audience (or the readers) know something that the characters do not.

It is, then, easy to see the connection between asides and dramatic irony. Through asides, characters give the audience hints and notify them about the events that will ensue, which, oftentimes, do not match the other characters' desires.

In the Giver, why don't people in the book perceive color?what is Jonas's opinion of giving up color?how do you decribe color to
Artist 52 [7]
Color was taken out of their world. That is relevant since only the giver actually knew what color was. The society they lived in was very protected and under strict rule so they were not allowed to have color. When Jonas discovers color he is like why don't we have color. He believes that everyone should have color and they should know feelings instead of just feeling like a robot. You can only describe color to a point.
