Answer:

using context clues or a dictionary to define unfamiliar words

restating main ideas in my own words

finding a single idea or concept that links the big ideas in each quatrain

Explanation:

In order to be able to identify the central ideas in a sonnet it is important to know all the words that the poem says, so if you don´t know them a dictionary could come handy to help you better understand the meaning of the given words, after that when you have that you can put it in your own words, by doing so you are giving some meaning and understanding the poem, after that you just have to continue to connect main ideas in the text and you get the theme or the central idea in the sonnet.

Identify whether this sentence is written in active or passive voice. Spectators filled the stadium
Paul [167]

Answer:

Active.

Explanation:

First one must recognize the difference between active versus passive voice. Active voice is where the subject is put before the predicate, and passive is where the predicate ie put before the subject.

Example:

Sally drove her car. --> Active voice, because subject is first.

Subject predicate

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car was driven by Sally --> Passive voice, because predicate is first.

          predicate Subject

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, you can break down the predicate into the object and action. Using the same example below...

Sally drove her car --> Active, because subject is first.

subject action object

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The car was driven by Sally--> Passive, because action and object are first.

Object action Subject

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In your example, your subject (Spectators) are first and your action and object (filled the stadium) are second. Therefore, it is active voice. (also, remember that your action and object can be combined to form the predicate.)

Hope this helps!

kompoz [17]

u can say how robots are seemingly taking over our world and this is our one and only world; humans created these robots yet these robots are gonna soon take over our places in society ------ soon we'll be worthless while the robots become priceless to mother earth; our past actions to make the world a better one will all be futile as we have no longer any stand in the world with the existence of robots.

hope this helps:))
