It was easier to be a loyalist during the times of the Revolutionary War. And those loyalists often had so much to lose. The one

s who wanted to make a new country were taking a huge chance. If they lost they would lose everything. And Gfreat Britain was the most powerful country in the world at that time. No rational person would have thought the colonies would win. If you lived during that time, which side would you choose? (If you chose, to be a loyalist, you are not a traitor okay. Actually, you are making the smart choice) Give me 3 reasons you would chose that side.

I would choose to be a patriot
1. They saw problems with Britain as they were and sought to fix them
2. They moved away from Britain in the first place because the felt it would offer more freedom
3. As the road to revolution became clear they stood firm in their values
