4s+7a=861
s+a=168

This can be solved using either elimination or substitution. I am going to use substitution.

Solve s+a=168 for s
s=168-a

Replace 168-a for s in 4s+7a=861
4(168-a)+7a=861
672-4a+7a=861

Solve for a
672+3a=861
3a=189
a=63

Substitute 63 for a in s=168-a
s=168-63=105

So, s=105 student tickets and a=63 adult tickets

Given the triangle below right at simplified expression that represents the perimeter in terms of x Use your expression to solve
Flauer [41]

Based on the given parameters, the value of x in the rectangle is 6

<h3>How to determine the value of x in the rectangle?</h3>

The given parameters are

Perimeter = 62

From the figure, we have

Length = 2x

Width = x + 13

The perimeter is calculated as:

P =2 * (L + W)

This gives

2 * (2x + x + 13) = 62

So, we have

2 * (3x + 13) = 62

Divide both sides in the above equation by 2

3x + 13 = 31

Subtract both sides in the above equation by 13

3x = 18

Divide both sides in the above equation by 3

x = 6

Hence, the value of x in the rectangle is 6

Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

{1.2}^{n}  \times 2.5

Step-by-step explanation:

it's simple my dear friend.

first, she runs 3 miles per week.

so in

{a}^{(n - 1)}   \times b

b is 3. the initial value.

increasement by 20% means she runs 1.2 times than before.

\frac{100 + 20}{100}  =  \frac{120}{100}  =  \frac{12}{10}  = 1.2

then a=1.2

so we have now:

{1.2}^{(n - 1)}  \times 3 \\  =   {1.2}^{n}  \times  \frac{3}{1.2}   \\  =  {1.2}^{n}  \times 2.5

and we got it!
