2x+23=92

Move +23 to the other side.

Sign changes from +23 to -23.

2x+23-23=92-23

2x=92-23

2x=69

divide both sides by 2 to get x by itself

2x/2=69/2

Cross out 2 and 2, divide by 2 and then becomes 1*1*x=x

Answer:

x=69/2 and x=34.5 and x=34 1/2

Answer:

x = 69/2 or x=39.5

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Subtract 23 from both sides: 2x+23-23=92-23
  2. Simplify: 2x=69
  3. Divide both sides by 2: 2x/2=69/2
  4. x=69/2 or x=39.5

Question in pic! will give brainliest! help asap!!!
drek231 [11]

Answer:

x=2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since these angles are supplementary, they together equal 180 degrees, so you can set it up like so:

149+5+13x=180

combine like terms:

(149+5)+13x=180

154+13x=180

Subtract 154 from both sides:

154(-154)+13x=180(-154)

13x=26

divide both sides by 13:

13x(/13)=26(/13)

x=2

2 is your answer

hope this helps!

What is the vertex of the graph of #y=x^2+3x-4#?
borishaifa [10]
To find the x value of the vertex we do:

x = \frac{-b}{2a}
if your quadratic function is in the form ax² + bx + c = y

x = \frac{-3}{2(1)}
x = \frac{-3}{2}

Now we plug this x into the equation and solve for y.

y = (\frac{-3}{2}) ^{2} + 3( \frac{-3}{2} ) + 4
y = \frac{9}{4} -  \frac{9}{2} + 4
y = \frac{9}{4} - \frac{18}{4} + 4
y = \frac{-9}{4} + 4
y = \frac{-9}{4} + \frac{16}{4}
y = \frac{7}{4}

Your vertex (if my math is correct) is at ( \frac{-3}{2}, \frac{7}{4} )
