Why American colonists had strong views about self government ?

The colonists had to develop their own governments anyway because of the fact that they were so far away from England. Then there was an event known as the First Great Awakening, which was a religious revival that swept across the colonies in the mid 1700's. This revival caused people to realize that everyone was equal in the eyes of God, so they applied that to their government and created representative governments where everyone had a say.
Back in England, the king wasn't allowing the colonies to have a representative in Parliament, so the colonies had no say whenever new laws or taxes were made for them. This made colonists mad, and eventually it led to them wanting to govern themselves and start a new country.

After learning in biological anthropology class that a cleft chin is recessive and that dimples, a free-hanging earlobe, and ton
Andrews [41]

Answer:

Both of her parents have a cleft chin but she doesn't

Explanation:

Alleles

C - NOT a cleft chin (dominant gene)

c - a cleft Chin (recessive gene)

Possibilities of Genotype

CC - NOT a Cleft chin

Cc - NOT a Cleft chin (since C is dominant )

cc - a Cleft chin

Now, we both know that her parents have Cleft chin, which means that both of them could only have cc as their genotype.

This mean, if they have children ,both the father and the mother could only give c alleles. This make the possibilities of their child having a cleft chin become 100%.

If the girl does not have a cleft chin, we can say that she is 100% not the biological child of the parents.

The protestor in this image is against the effects of the ruling in which case? D.C. v. Heller Plessy v. Ferguson Marbury v. Mad
alex41 [277]

Answer:

Plessy v. Ferguson

Explanation:

Plessy v. Ferguson's landmark case happened in 1896. when African American Homer Plessey refused to sit in a separate car for black people. The laws that proclaimed these racial segregations were called Jim Crow laws. The came comes from the parody of black people, song Jump Jim Crow. It enforced racial separation of the public space, so African American people couldn’t be mixed with white people. We can see on the photo that protestor is declaring “Jim Crow must go” which means the racial laws must be revoked.

The case changed the laws to the “separate but equal” doctrine, which declared that facilities and spaces for all races must be equal in quality.

xeze [42]

Answer:

b. individuals are best left to their own devices without the government guiding their actions.

Explanation:

Both the wealth of nations and the declaration of independence were written based on the concept of economic liberalism, which is an ideology based on the organization of the economy in individualistic lines, rejecting state interventionism, which means that as many economic decisions as possible are taken by companies and individuals and not by the state or by collective organizations. That is, through economic liberalism, both the wealth of nations and the declaration of independence share the view that it is best to leave individuals to their own devices without the government directing their actions.
