Alright, so since it's to the negative power we essentially have 1/(1/4^(3/2)). After that, we find (1/4)^3=1^3/4^3=1/64 and find the square root of that, which is (sqrt1)/(sqrt64)=1/8. Since the answer is 1/(1/8), we get the answer to be 8

Help please

number 9, 10
ira [324]

Answer:

#9, G = (-8,-10)

#10, distance = √122 = 11.0453610171

midpoint = (7/2,7/2)

Step-by-step explanation:

#9: We don't need no stinkin' diagrams!!

midpoint M=(-6,-3)

endpoint H=(-4,4)

displacement vector D from H to M:

D = (M-H) = (-6 - -4, -3 - 4) = (-2,-7)

Check: start at endpoint H, move along displacement vector D, should bring you to M.

H + D = (-4,4)+(-2,-7)

= (-4-2,4-7) = (-6,-3) = M ✔

Adding D to endpoint H gets to midpoint M. Adding 2D to H will reach the other endpoint, G.

G = H + 2D = (-4,4)+2×(-2,-7)

= (-4-2×2,4-2×7) = (-8,-10)

Check: Subtracting D from G should bring you back to M.

G-D = (-8,-10) - (-2,-7)

= (-8 - -2, -10 - -7)

= (-6,-3) = M ✔

#10 distance between P and Q, and midpoint of segment PQ:

P=(3,-2) Q=(4,9)

displacement vector D from P to Q:

D = Q - P = (4 - 3, 9 - -2) = (1,11)

so that adding D to P gives Q:

D + P = (1+3,11-2) = (4,9) ✔

Distance between two points is square root of dot product of displacement vector with itself:

d = √(D dot D) = √((1,11)dot(1,11))

= √(1×1+11×11) = √122 = 11.0453610171

Midpoint M is P + D/2, start at P and move half way to Q,

M = (3,-2)+(1,11)/2

= (3+1/2,-2+11/2)

= (7/2,7/2)

Start at M, move D/2 brings you to Q,

M + D/2 = (7/2+7/2) + (1/2,11/2)

= (8/2,18/2) = (4,9) = Q ✔

Satelite Corporation projects a year-end net income of $64,722. The net income represents 40% of its projected annual sales. Wha
Goryan [66]

Answer:

The projected annual sales of Satelite Corporation are $ 161,805.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Satellite Corporation projects a year-end net income of $ 64,722, and that the net income represents 40% of its projected annual sales, to determine the amount of the projected annual sales of the company the following calculation must be performed:

40 = 64.722

100 = X

(100 x 64,722) / 40 = X

6,472,200 / 40 = X

161.805 = X

Therefore, the projected annual sales of Satelite Corporation are $ 161,805.

How does the area of the polygons compare to π? ( π is 3.14)
soldi70 [24.7K]

The area of the polygons compare to π in the way that as more angles and sides are added to a polygon the polygon becomes closer to a circle; the perimeter slowly changes to circumference. Π is used to find the area and circumference of a circle, so as polygons come closer to becoming circles π becomes more strongly associated to the polygon. You can even use π to find the approximate area of a circle if you use the same formula (as you would to find the area of a circle) on a polygon. Another way to go about it is like this…

You can find the area of a circle if you know the circle’s circumference by using these steps:

1. Divide the circumference by π to find the diameter of the circle.

2. Divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius of the circle.

3. Now that you have the radius you can use the formula Area= πr2 to find the area of the circle.
