<span>The Shang Dynasty in ancient China used oracle bones, a piece of shell or bones usually from an ox scapula of turtle shells which were believed to reveal and answer from the ancestors in relation to the issues such as weather and military campaigns by inscribing and heating the objects. It is used because of their flat surfaces. Oracle bones also bear the earliest form of ancient Chinese writing which also includes historically significant information. Aside from the oracle bones, the Shang Dynasty also used a mask called tao ties which was a bronze vessel created with animal masks. It is believed to become fancy as time passes.</span>
