Donald John Trump is the 45th President of the United States since January 20, 2017. Before entering politics, he was an entrepreneur and television personality.

Born and raised in a borough of New York borough called Jamaica, Trump earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971, he took over the family business of real estate and construction Elizabeth Trump & Son, which would later be renamed the Trump Organization.

Trump sought the presidential nomination of the Reform Party in 2000, but withdrew before the voting began. In June 2015, he officially announced his candidacy for the 2016 elections. He won the general election on November 8, 2016 against the Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, and became president on January 20, 2017 at the age of 70, so he has been the president with the greatest age to assume this position.

What were the positive and negative aspects to Harding’s laissez-faire approach?
Valentin [98]

one advantage to this philosophy is that businesses faced fewer government rules and regulations. this allowes businesses to do many things. often rules and regulations add tothe costs that business faces. sometimes, rules and regulations make it harder to do business activities. when businesses have fewer rules and regulations they are generally willing to take more risks and to invest in the economy. with fewer rules and regulations, businesses have a big incentive to try to maximize profits.

a disadvantage of this policy is that businesses may engage in risky behaviors that could lead to future economic problems. in the 1920s, there were few rules and regulations on banks and on the investiment industry. to much money was being loaned to individuals and people could buy stocks woth only a small down payment. banks were also free to invest in the stock market. when the stock market crashed, many people and banks were financially ruined.
