Wally purchased the desk that was on sale for 2/3 of the original price. If the original priceless for $450, what is the price at Wally paid? My teacher gave me the answer is 300. Please clearly tell me how you got the answer.

Okay what you could do is type 400 divided by 2/3 into a calculator, but on paper you would do 400 divided by 3, which is 150, then multiply 150 by 2 since it’s “2/3’s” of 400.
400 / 3 = 150,
150 x 2 = 300, so 300 is correct.
