Rhetoric is language that is intended to have a convincing or inspiring effect on people, but is often lack a earnestness or expressive content. The aspects that would be highlighted in a summary would be the terror that the characters felt during the night because the cries of the wolves increased and seemed to be getting closer and closer.

Why should these aspects be highlighted?

 • Because they form the central idea of the text.
 • Because they are important to describe the actions of the characters.
 • Because they set the tone of the text.

A summary should be made with the most important points of a text. These points must be able to highlight the most important element so that the reader understands the original text, even without reading it.

In the text shown in the question above, we can understand that the main element is the fear felt by the characters. This fear is highlighted by the arrival of night, as visibility is low and they can see that fierce wolves are getting closer and closer to them.
